The Full Story

Hey! Welcome! I'm glad you're here, even if it's only to have a look.

​Here's a little about us... well.. me.. hehe

​What started out of boredom in my part of a shared factory one dreary 2021  lockdown afternoon with me looking at my MIG welder and thinking "F*ck it! Lets weld some sh*t!" soon turned into me doing some custom fab work for a few clients and building the odd ute tray for a few extra bucks in my down time.

​It was at that time, that Welderup Kustoms was born!

​Fast forward a few months, 'Iso and the Rona' hitting hard in Melbourne (Basically, we were all f*cked, yeah?) - it was time to find a new job because the one I had was coming to an end, I figured it was time to bite the bullet and try to get myself a job working with metal - learn some new tricks, because if we're not learning, we're dead, right?

​I scored myself the first job I applied for, f*cking mint, right? Got myself a cool job doing all the 'pleb' work (grinding, sanding, cleaning, autosert, packing, driving the fork, that kinda stuff aye?) for a mid-sized, but bloody busy sheetmetal & custom fab shop in Dandy - and we're only getting busier! Fast forward 5 weeks into the job, I find myself situated as their head brake press operator with two staff working under me. Apparently I had what it takes.

​So in 2022, Welderup Kustoms will be turning a new leaf, manufacturing and fabricating our own accessories; such as: Mud Guards, Under Tray Toolboxes, Jerry Can Holders.

Wow! You're all legends. You've all definitely kept me busy making Mud Guards!  That many orders are coming in that I've had to start thinking about doing this as a full time gig! I'm struggling to keep up with the orders!

I'm now out-sourcing Laser Cutting and CNC Folding of all Mud Guards out-side of the day job to enable me to keep up with orders. This however does mean I'm no longer able to offer any customisation to any of my products in a quickly manner.

I'm currently looking at getting into a larger space of my own to give me more space to work - and so I can finally start looking into doing what I got into this for - auto customisation - soon I'll be looking into doing GQ and GU Patrol Cab Chops (Extra Cab & Dual Cab) - I've already got my first GQ chop booked! Awe hell yeah!
